Artist Statement

OUR TIME observes the time accumulated through ordinary days rather than extraordinary events.
Returning to the same domestic space, I photograph small changes: objects shift, light moves across the room, weather changes beyond the window, and the child gradually changes as well. In some photographs the child is present; in others, absent. Even without a figure, traces of the time spent together remain in the space.
The time in these photographs does not belong to the child alone. It is our time—the time shared by those who have lived together within this space.
Developed through repeated observation over seasons and years, OUR TIME considers how shared time passes and accumulates at once, leaving subtle traces in people, objects, and everyday spaces.
함께 보낸 시간은 특별한 사건보다 반복되는 일상 속에 쌓인다.
같은 공간을 거듭 바라보는 동안 사물의 위치가 바뀌고, 방 안의 빛과 창밖의 날씨가 달라지며, 아이의 모습도 조금씩 변해간다. 어떤 사진에는 아이가 있고, 어떤 사진에는 없다. 그러나 인물이 없는 순간에도 함께한 시간의 흔적은 공간에 남는다.
이 사진 속 시간은 아이만의 시간이 아니다. 같은 공간에서 함께 살아온 우리의 시간이기도 하다.
OUR TIME은 계절과 해를 거듭하며 반복해서 같은 삶의 공간을 바라본다. 지나가면서 동시에 쌓이는 시간이 사람과 사물, 일상의 공간에 어떤 흔적을 남기는지를 기록한다.
